Snowdonia, April 2002

Carla had selfishly gone on a diving holiday, but that didn't stop the rest of us schlepping up to Beddgelert campsite in two cars (one dodgy hire car with power steering that went gronk just before Betws-y-Coed) for a fine weekend.

Saturday saw us try Snowdon from a completely different route, up the Watkin Path...

What the pictures fail to show, in all their azure glory, is how damn windy it was. Gus had his sunglasses blow off, Boo lost her hat, and we all got blown over at various times.

Sunday saw Baz disappear to Tranmere to watch Reading scrape yet another dull draw, whilst the rest of us managed an extremely hungover walk from the foot of Pen-y-Pass, over Glyder Fach and Glyder Fawr and down y Gribin to the foot of Tryfan.
